Maintenance & Grounds

Volunteers are needed to help care for the daily needs of the animals at Pet Friends and Rescue. Volunteers assist with feeding, cleaning, washing dishes, and socializing.
Do you have a “good” eye? If so, we are always in need of current photographs of our adoptable Pet Friends and Rescue residents. As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
All of our dogs need that special time while being walked. Our location has beautiful vistas to look at while walking down our country road.
Pet Friends and Rescue has several acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and buildings. Plants and walkways are always in need of some attention and we appreciate the help we receive.
Who Can Volunteer?
Come one, Come all!
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our sanctuary. Help with daily care, fundraising events, or grounds maintenance, and make a tangible difference!

Youth ages 12 – 16, accompanied by a parent/guardian, are needed to play, socialize, and interact with the dogs and cats here at Pet Friends and Rescue. This is a wonderful way to spend family time together, and it makes a difference in an animal’s life.
Students can also earn supervised community service hours doing tasks around the grounds, or with pets.
Love cats? Our cat volunteers are needed to socialize, cuddle, play, and brush our cats and kittens while they wait for their new home.
Love dogs? Our canines need volunteers that enjoy going for walks, brushing, and socializing.
We also need help feeding, cleaning and exercising the animals. There are always walkways that need sweeping, windows to be washed, and light office cleaning.
