Open your Heart and Home to a Rescue Animal! Our process is designed to ensure a good match. It starts with meeting and spending time with a cat or a dog housed at Pet Friends, followed by an application, and ends with you and your new family member embarking on a beautiful journey together.

The Meeting

The first step is to choose an animal that you bond with by setting up a Meet & Greet Appointment. We invite you to the sanctuary to spend time with the animals. This vital step allows you to bond with your potential pet and ensure a natural connection exists. If you have other pets, we might schedule a visit for them to get acquainted as well.

The Application

Once you have selected a pet to apply for, please see and complete our Adoption Application. This helps us understand your lifestyle, home environment, and what you’re looking for in a companion, and to see if it's a good match for the pet you've selected. (Note: Adoption Applications do not guarantee adoption.)

The Homecoming

Once approved, you will receive a notification from our office with the next steps. The final step is preparing for pick up and transportation home. We complete the paperwork and you embark on a beautiful life together, supported by our post-adoption resources.
