Enjoy a unique experience to run or walk through the Graniterock environmentally responsible, operational sand and gravel quarry. The course follows quarry roads, out and back for 5K, and is best described as “off-road” (hard-packed gravel). Additionally, a short course for walkers is available. Join us in this exhilarating run or walk through the quarry and support the local Pet Friends organization.
Bring your favorite four-legged canine friend to join you in the 5K Walk! Animals must be on a leash at all times.

Runners will be disqualified if dogs are off leash.

No retractable leashes! Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet. Proof of rabies vaccination required.

Stay for the Graniterock Open House event at the quarry and enjoy BBQ, chips, and drinks.

PET FRIENDS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that benefits homeless companion animals of San Benito County. 

Our Mission is to eliminate cruelty and neglect of abandoned companion animals and to encourage a community atmosphere of education, care, and concern that will strengthen the human/animal bond. 

To accomplish this mission, PET FRIENDS has established: The Pet Friends Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic to lower the cost of spay and neuter operations and, therefore, help reduce pet overpopulation, homelessness, and suffering Assist in controlling and maintaining the county feral cat population by offering specially priced spay and neuter services at our clinic for ferals.

Retrieval, fostering, and adoption of healthy companion animals into caring and loving homes Pet Friends’ animal intake protocol is to rescue adoptable companion animals from Hollister Animal Control only and provide them with a permanent shelter environment while awaiting their new home. Pet Friends will also provide relief for displaced animals during emergencies.
